It's not just because I am a Graphic Designer.

I believe a good logo makes a business easily identifiable and recognizable. The most well-known form of brand recognition is through logo identification. Therefore, a business's logo must accurately convey who they are in a memorable manner to their target audience.
Start-up businesses need a custom designed logo to help let future customers know that they are a new possibility for serving the customer's needs. On the other hand, businesses that are already established and well-known to consumers need a fresh new logo. Many businesses rebrand to improve their current identity to become more desirable or to keep up with the changing societal trends, so not to appear outdated.
“Every great design begins with an even better story.” - Lorinda Mamo
I created Never Before Designs with the purpose of developing a logo for businesses that can make them memorable.
What Is Never Before Designs?
Never Before Designs got its name playing off the initials of my name, NB. The name Never Before was decided upon in order to demonstrate the uniqueness and originality of each logo design to be created. Whether it is a brand new logo for a start-up business or a rebrand for an existing business, nobody has seen these exact creations before. I chose to incorporate the word Designs into the company name to give clarity to what services Never Before provides.
As the founder and creator of Never Before Designs, I built this business off of a passion for creating art that serves to benefit others. I feel a sense of pride when I see how my designs help gain awareness for others to succeed in what they love.
Color is Key
Most logo designs are created with simplicity in mind. Logos tend not to exceed 2 colors (not including black and white) and 2 fonts. The colors associated with a business is the most crucial choice for brand recognition and can be coined as their signature colors. According to Gabriel Shaoolian who published an article for Forbes, color improves brand recognition up to 80 percent. Color has a huge impact on how customers identify and perceive businesses. How does a business choose their colors? The answer is, colors evoke emotion. Each color has an emotion that can best benefit certain industries as illustrated in the images below.

What I Can Create For You!
I have had multiple experiences creating business identities. One of my most successful custom logo creations was for D.O.c Pax Piercing.

D.O.c Pax Piercing is an ear piercing service preformed by a pediatrician with a Doctorate degree in Osteopathic Medicine. The business owner mainly wanted to target teens and children with a logo that also portrayed her reliability as a doctor.
To convey these messages within a logo, I designed an ear shaped by a stethoscope with hexagons resembling earrings arranged in locations that are most popular with the target audience. The use of green as the accent color was to evict the emotions of safety and reliability towards the owner of the business. The owner was very pleased with the design and uploaded the logo to various social media platforms and had the logo printed on gift certificates, stickers, and other promotional products.
Why Rebrand?
Businesses can decide to rebrand for numerous reasons. According to a Forbes article written by Amanda Bowman, there are 4 main instances where business consider rebranding: to differentiate from competitors, to become less outdated, to come back from poor reputation, and to follow a shift in direction the business is heading. Rebranding can help a business become more in-touch with their values and their customers.
What I Can Recreate For You!
I haven't had as many opportunities rebranding business identities compared to the creation of identities, but one of my proudest rebranding projects was for AlphaGraphics.

AlphaGraphics is a printing franchise company that helps print collateral such as business cards, envelopes, and posters for small local businesses. The current logo for the franchise is the letters "ag" in red text inside a white circle on a red background. To someone unaware of what services AlphaGraphics preforms, the current doesn't help serve as a communication tool.

To convey more clearly what AlphaGraphics does, I created a rebranding for the company for a school project. I designed a wolf head that plays on the word "alpha" in the company name. The ends of the wolf fur end in ink droplets and incorporate the colors cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK) to illustrate the company as part of the printing industry. The rebranding has not been shared with the company and may never be implemented, but I believe this to still be a successful rebranding project.
